Hey everyone,
We hope you enjoyed the festivities this past weekend! Special thanks to everyone who planned and worked at the parties and helped to make them a wonderful success!
On to this week's events:
THURSDAY:
*9pm-1am: Karaoke Night: Get psyched to sing at Karaoke Night this Thursday at the Log. We've got a pro coming in to make sure all your favorite songs will be available. The bar and kitchen will be open too so you can get wings, pizza bagels, and mozzarella sticks. So start singing in the shower and we'll see you Thursday 9-1 at the Log.
FRIDAY:
*8pm: Motorcycle Diaries will be playing in Bronfman Auditorium.
Starring: Gael Garcia Bernal, Rodrigo de la Serna, Mia Maestro, Mercedes Moran, Susana Lanteri
This is the true story of a 23-year-old medical student from Argentina, Che Guevara (Bernal), who traveled across South America on a motorcycle with his friend Alberto Granado (de la Serna) in 1951-1952, in a personal odyssey which would ultimately inspire him to become a revolutionary who had a profound impact on the history of several nations. The duo has a series of adventures that vary from the suspenseful (stowing away on a cargo ship, exploring Incan ruins) to the comedic (falling off their bikes, wooing women, drunken revelry) to the serious (volunteering at a leper colony).
*8pm-10pm: Comedian Eric Blake! Come to Goodrich and laugh away your stress and see what "Streetlife Comedy" is about! This guy's funny, so make sure you don't miss it!
*9pm: American Astronaut and the Billy Nayer Show LIVE:
dir. Cory McAbee, USA, 2001, 91min
American Astronaut: The bizarre, space-western musical described as a "Laurel and Hardy Sketch, directed by Salvador Dali.” The Billy Nayer Show: The band that produced the hypnotizing and hilarious soundtrack for the film. Catch them both (along with the lead singer/writer/director/star) one night only at Images...simultaneously. Live band performance following movie screening.
*10pm: Dating Show at Goodrich: Right after the comedian, come watch the love connections that will be happening live as contestants attempt to prove they are dating material. Much fun and romance ensues. Co-sponsored with the BSU.
*10pm-2am: Rave Party @ Spencer: Come get your glow sticks and head on down to Spencer! DJ Kerel spinning the latest dance/house music!
SATURDAY:
*8pm: Motorcycle Diaries will be playing in Bronfman Auditorium. See above for movie details.
*10pm-2am: Michael Jackson Party @Garfield. Got stress? Doesn't matter if you're "black or white", so just "beat it" and head on down to celebrate the King of Pop. DJ Paul will be spinning your favorite tunes, so let's get "dangerous" over at Garfield.
ENJOY!
Get ready next week for:
CJ JOHNSON
Comedic Hypnotist!
Thursday, March 3
8:00pm
Goodrich
Yes, he's finally back! We had rescheduled him due to unfortunate weather last time (remember the big blizzard?) So he'll be here better than ever. Come get hypnotized or watch your friends up on stage doing some pretty crazy things. If you were there last year, you know what I'm talking about.
This guy's the real deal. You won't want to miss it!
**As always, feel free to e-mail question/comments/ideas to 06jte. We appreciate your feedback :)

Okay, so what exactly is ACE? And what do we do?
All Campus Entertainment is a group of funloving students dedicated to promoting an active social scene in the purple bubble that is Williamstown. We bring comedians, magicians, and live bands from all over. Two years ago we brought Ben Folds to perform right in our very own Lasell Gym. In Spring Fling 2004 we had Eve 6 AND Reel Big Fish on campus at our double headliner concert! Not only that, but we help support those people who want to throw their own all campus parties by providing financial support (does $500 sound good? Yeah we thought so) as well as advertising in our weekly e-mail and website.
All right, so we host parties. But what about those big weekend events like Homecoming, Winter Carnival and Spring Fling? Don’t you need a bracelet to get into those parties? Well, yeah. But as you may have heard, we offer a Universal Bracelet Program, where you buy all of these bracelets for just a one-time low price of $30 and you’ll get them right before each event so you never have to worry about losing them! Isn’t that convenient? And it’s cheaper. Individually, the bracelets cost $20 for Homecoming, $15 for winter Carnival, and $20 for Spring Fling. That's like 45% off! Sweet deal, huh? Consider this option before it’s too late! Just send in your bracelet order form from the summer mailing. It’s that simple!
We are dedicated to bringing you the very best parties and events, like First Fridays, which happen at Goodrich the first Friday of every month. Ask any student and they can tell you all about the live bands and DJs that perform on these wild nights of dancing till the late hours.
We know what it’s like at Williams. The stress of exams, projects, hundreds of pages of reading...been there done that. That’s why we have our monthly Stressbusters, a night where you can forget about all your troubles for a few minutes and enjoy a nice massage, some cookies and good company.
Every year, we bring you our Care Package program, where parents can send students little surprises when they need it the most: during FINALS! This year, we are proud to team up with Where’d You Get That?! for a new Student XPress program that lasts the whole year through! More about that in a few weeks.
ACE wants you to be happy. And we’re always on the lookout for more ideas to do that. Do you have any ideas for good events/parties?Then, Suggest An Event, using our new online suggestion form!
If you have a party you'd like us to sponsor, or you just want to let us know what we can do to improve the Williams College social scene, e-mail our Chief Communications Officer, <a href=”mailto:06jte@williams.edu”>Julie Esteves ‘06 and let her know about your interests and ideas.
